Statement of Faith

Quest micro-churches reflect the diversity of our members and their unique expressions of faith. What unites us is a shared foundation in the Apostles’ Creed and our own statement of faith, grounding our network in the historic Church’s faith while leaving room for varied practices and traditions.

  • I believe in God, the Father almighty,
    creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
    He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
    He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
    He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
    the holy catholic Church*,
    the communion of saints,
    the forgiveness of sins,
    the resurrection of the body,
    and the life everlasting. Amen.

    *universal Church

    1. The Holy Scriptures serve as the highest authority and guide for believers.

    2. Reconciliation with God is achieved solely through faith in Jesus Christ.

    3. Salvation is a free and undeserved gift from God, granted entirely by His grace.

    4. God exists as three distinct persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit—who are distinct yet eternally one.

    5. When this present world comes to its conclusion, God will judge all with perfect justice. Those who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord will enter God’s kingdom of light, while those who reject His invitation will face separation in “outer darkness,” though God desires all to come to Him.
